Theme:

Inspired by the Vajrayāna teaching of the rainbow body—which points to the realization that rather than being solid and separate, the body is fluid and inseparable from the infinite field of consciousness—this dance invites us to move from a place of spacious awareness rather than effort or performance.

May our dance be an open and curious exploration, where movement arises in waves and gently returns to the ground of stillness—an invitation to greet what wants to move through us, with us, as us.

Overview:

This is a relational contact (physical and/or energetic) friendly dance that encourages finding balance between moving together and moving in our individuated expression.

Please note that any and all physical contact is absolutely optional. Consent, respect, and choicefullness are discussed in our opening container.

This dance is devoted to coming together to be alive in our bodies; connected to our own inner rhythm and inter-connected in relational presence.

I am facilitating here in the lineage of my teacher and mentor Zuza Engler who is a student of Vincent Martínez-Grieco and has trained in the schools of both Soul Motion and Open Floor.

The Heart of the Workshop

In this evening immersion, we explore the relational art of attention: how it moves, where it rests, and how it shapes the quality of connection we feel with ourselves and each other.

Drawing on Taoist philosophy and Kasia Urbaniak’s brilliance as articulated in Unbound, we work with the natural flow of yin and yang as living forces in our relational dynamics.

Yin Attention

The receptive, inward flow.

Your capacity to feel yourself — to sense, listen, track, and clearly name what you need and desire.

Yang Attention

The expressive, outward flow.

Your ability to confidently direct energy, make requests, take action, and participate in creating the connection you want.

——

Within relationships, we often overuse one form of attention, underdevelop the other polarity, or dwell in unclear and confusing mixed states. This lack of clarity and balance in our energetic signature leads to tension, misattunement, and feeling unsatisfied or confused. When both yin and yang attention are embodied with awareness and intention, energy flows and connection becomes alive, grounded, and clear.

Desire becomes a compass.

Attention becomes power.

Intimacy becomes art.

——

Facilitated by Lara Christine, CMT, E-RYT, CCH and Anthony Rush, PhD—a unique weaving of relational wisdom, authentic movement, and heart-centered practice.
